Practical and full of character.
Quirky looking item with a bit of vintage charm. Its true; the bottle wouldn't be out of place in an historical re-enactment but its also very practical for modern-day rambling and camping. The rounded shape makes it easy to squeeze into an over-stuffed ruck-sack or a jacket pocket if you don't want to use the belt clip. Of course being rounded the bottle won't stand up on its own but maybe that's a reminder not to leave a canteen about without a lid on. Mine came with a few dents which give testament to its military history but these are not noticeable as it is covered by a felt pouch. I also like the idea of a metal container for water on hygene grounds as it can be sterilised with boiling water. Something a bit different but eminently usable.
Pros: Fun/quirky, Robust, Hygenic, Good shape for pocket, Practical
Cons: Won't stand up
Would recommend: Yes

Exactly as described
Not sure if it is a pre-used item. Looks very vintage, which would be authentic for a props department.
Pros: Unusual, Genuine
Cons: Seems used
Would recommend: Yes
